What is a Marketing Funnel

Apr 6

What is a marketing funnel? And why should every marketer use one?

It's a strategy for marketing that is designed to draw new customers to your website. It is a selling process by which a person visits your website seeking information that could help to solve a particular problem. But, with the help of specific tools, you can be able to establish a relationship with each visitor.

This will enable you to fully understand your visitors' needs. This will allow you to offer the best information possible for all visitors. If you can gain trust from a visitor, they are more likely to purchase your products. The visitor becomes a customer.

Many customers turn into regular customers, and will be more likely to buy every product on your website. A marketing funnel consists of the different stages of sales that will transform a regular website visitor to a loyal customer who wants to buy everything that you throw at them.

This is the main goal of any online marketer. This can easily be accomplished by constructing a funnel that is well-designed.

Your efforts to market are grabbing the attention of people, and bringing them to your funnel. Once they complete the form that you have on your PERSONAL Lead Capture Page, they enter the funnel. Because they are not going to sign up for your lead capture page for business, I use the word "personal". They want an executive to join them, not a small business.

Lead capture pages are the gateway to the funnel. When they click "Signup Now" or "Enter There", they will be entering a brand new world of marketing via network.

The most important thing is that they are qualified to do it. It's their choice. You've not sold them anything, other than yourself as a leader as a mentor and as someone who can help them increase leads and bring more money into their businesses.

This is how an advertising funnel works.

On the "front-end" you have an offer that is free to draw and attract people who might have an interest to purchase your products further down the sales funnel. To get your product for free you must join (also called opt-in) and give your name and email address. Then, you will include them on your email list.

Once you have your contacts on your email, you can send related offers to them.

When they sign up for the offer, they'll be taken to a webpage that provides a low price or, as it's known, the tripwire offer. This is when they'll be taken to the "back-end" of the funnel.

If the buyer purchases the lowest priced deal, they will be taken directly to a similar offer at a more expensive price (commonly called an upsell). And if the person also buys this higher priced offer, they will again be taken to the next related product with a higher cost. This can continue for a long time...
